BIO

When I realised that I was better behind the scenes than on the sporting field, I decided to put all my efforts into the profession of Exercise Physiology. Whilst studying for my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Deakin University, I was fortunate enough to land a role with Melbourne Storm, where I gained invaluable experience, knowledge and insight, dealing with the rehabilitation and strength and conditioning of players. It was there that I discovered that chronic degenerative conditions such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis were not just suffered by the ageing and older bodies. This experience inspired me to further my studies, and go on to complete my Masters in Exercise Physiology.

I have been working in Strength & Conditioning, and Rehabilitation of elite, semi -professional and developmental athletes for many years alongside industry experts within private practice and sporting clubs. Working with other professionals, has helped me to realise that there was a huge gap between rehabilitation and performance, and that I could help to bridge those gaps, by concentrating on strength and conditioning programs. Working within a clinical setting, I have been able to provide services by way of tailoring unique programs to achieve better outcomes for each individual. Whether they be professional athletes, weekend warriors, exercise enthusiasts, and/or those presenting with degenerative and post-operative conditions. Travelling to the United States I was provided the opportunity to work closely with current NBA and Boomers star Joe Ingles, this has certainly been a highlight of my career, enhancing my knowledge and skills in what it takes to be competing in the world’s best basketball competition. Whilst many gains can be made within a clinical setting, it is important to understand how an athlete moves within their desired sports. This is an element of practice I particularly enjoy, allowing me to observe and gain further insight into what is required to allow you to perform at your optimum.
